The dynamic, hard-hitting documentary recalls a venue whose battles reflected the beauty and brutality of a divided city. From the dangerous combat of boxing to the dramatic theatricality of wrestling, roller derby, and music, the gritty punch palace at the corner of 18th& Grand was the most raucous show in town, drawing movie stars, mobsters, and everyday people.
Says Director Steve DeBro. “We’re thrilled to be able to work with Roy Englebrecht and his team to have the film screened in Orange County. So many great fighters and fans would make the drive from the OC to downtown to the fights – this time they won’t have to travel so far to see the action. They’re in for a great night.”
