Dead Man Running Movie To Sponsor London Fight Show Judgement Day III On 27th February


January 30, 2010 - Rooney's Boxing Gym, the promoters of the highly successful Judgement Day White Collar Boxing series, announced today that Revolver Entertainment are to sponsor Judgement Day III, which takes place at the all new multi sports venue T47, St Thomas Street, London SE1 on February 27th.

Revolver Entertainment, who sponsored Judgement Day II back in November '09 with TYSON THE MOVIE Platinum Knockout Edition DVD, are sponsoring Judgement Day III to promote the upcoming release, on the 1st March, of the Brit Thriller DEAD MAN RUNNING, on DVD and Blue Ray Disc.

Dead Man Running, which is directed by Alex De Rakoff and starring Monet Mazur, 50 Cent, Danny Dyer, Brenda Blethyn, Tamer Hassan, Blake Ritson, Bronson Webb, Scot Williams, Robert Stone and Joe Egan, is a proper British action thriller of the Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels variety.

Reformed ex-con Nick is given 24 hours to come up with £100,000 by notorious New York gangster and loan shark Mr Thigo. As a guarantee, Thigo's men hold Nick's wheelchair-bound mother hostage, leaving him no choice but to comply. Enlisting the help of his best mate, Bing, the boys embark on a frantic race against the clock. Their mission takes them from the dog tracks of East London to the underground drug scene of rural Manchester as they try every trick and scam in the book to get the cash before it's too late.

The Judgement Day series, which was launched in September '09, took the London Boxing scene by storm. The first Judgement Day event not only attracted City fighters from around the World but also featured an all female match-up and was the first event of this type to include an MMA bout.

Rooney's Boxing Gym decided to add extra elements, of live music, Burlesque and a special screening of TYSON THE MOVIE, to the already excellent show format and just 56 days after the inaugural event, on the 25th November '09, Judgement Day II took place.

As before the event was sold-out and this time the crowd were not only royally entertained by six professional standard fights but were also treated to a very special tribute to the world of boxing by Burlesque star MISS GIGI RAMONE followed by an amazing set by the outrageous, Glam Punk Rock band SPIDERBABY that literally bought the house down.

Judgement Day III, which will take place at the new T47 venue, has already attracted some of the UK's top White Collar fighters including Middleweight sensation ADAM MCCANN, who will be headlining the show, and Welterweight star ED STOREY, who will be co-feature. In addition to the eight bout Boxing card there will also be two Mixed Martial Arts bouts organised by BANDOGS MMA.

Judgement Day III, sponsored by DEAD MAN RUNNING, will be held at T47, 47 St Thomas Street, London SE1 3QX on Saturday 27th February 2010. Doors open at 7.00pm.
