Former Ugandan Olympian Sulaiman Segawa Headlines Card at Entertainment & Sports Arena with former Army Sergeant Rianna Rios Featured in First Female Bout

WASHINGTON, DC (May 2, 2023) – Former Ugandan Olympian Sulaiman Segawa (13-1, 4 KOs; IG: @segawasulaiman) of Silver Spring, Maryland will battle Misael Lopez (14-2, 5 KOs; IG: @teammisalopez_) of Denver, Colorado in the Main Event of Beltway Battles: Round Four (IG: @BeltwayBattles), the Washington, DC-based pro boxing series returning to Entertainment & Sports Arena in the District this Saturday, May 6 (5:00 pm doors; first bout 6:00pm). Admission, starting at $55 and including a new VIP Table Club ticket option, are available for purchase at all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Entertainment & Sports Arena Box Office.

Produced by Rising Star Promotions, DHH Promotions, and Blue Cork Strategies in association with Events DC and DiBella Entertainment, the action-packed card will also feature its first female bout as undefeated Maryland bantamweight, former US Army Sergeant and Olympic qualifier of Mexican and Native American heritage Rianna Rios (IG: @riannarios) takes on Cara McLaughlin (1-5; IG: @caramclaughlin_bornfighter) of Cookstown, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom in the Co-Main Event.

Rising star and undefeated Baltimore prospect Dominique “Dimes” Crowder (14-0, 9 KOs; IG: @lor_dimes) leads an undercard filled with rising prospects from the DMV region.

In addition to the bouts, fans will be entertained by ringside emcee – local ABC7 anchor/host Britt Waters (IG: @itsbrittwaters) – with DC comedian Terry “Goofy” Jones (IG: @goofyssss) and District rapper 3OhBlack (IG: @3ohblack) scheduled to provide post-bout commentary after each fight. Hall of Famer Henry “Discombobulating” Jones serves as ring announcer with music provided by Styles Music Group.

Held over Cinco de Mayo weekend, there will be boxers with Mexican, El Salvadoran, Nicaraguan and Bolivian heritages represented in a salute to the region’s diverse Latino population. Promoters announced that Beltway Battles: Round Five returns to the Entertainment & Sports Arena on June 24, while Beltway Battles: Round Six is slated for August 19 at the same District venue.
