(August 24, 2021) – World Boxing Federation (WBF) championship boxing will headline, when Petko´s Boxing promotes at the Hansehalle in Luebeck, Germany on Saturday September 4.
Former world title-challenger Shefat Isufi, 31-4-2 (23), takes on the Czech Republic´s Tomas “Jumbo” Adamek, 29-19-2 (10), with the vacant WBF Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title at stake.
Serbian-born Munich resident Isufi, a former holder of numerous regional belts, lost a decision to Billy Joe Saunders in a fight for the vacant WBO World Super Middleweight title in 2019. Since then he has won four straight.
Adamek won the WBF International title in 2015, and has a victory over current WBF World Light Heavyweight Champion Tim Robin Lihaug, whom he beat by decision in Oslo, Norway in 2017.
A veteran of fifteen title fights, he captured the Czech national title in 2018, and must be considered a very live underdog in what will be his seventh fight in Germany.
Besides winning the WBF Intercontinental title, the winner will also put himself in prime position to challenge for the world title against Lihaug.
