Mfaume vs. Said For WBF All Africa Title

(June 23, 2022) Tanzanian veteran Mfaume “One Punch” Mfaume is set to take on Egypt´s Abdumonem Said for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) All Africa Super Welterweight title on July 1 at Diamond Jubilee Hall in Dar Es Salaam.

The 30-year-old, born and raised in Dar Es Salaam, is a former East & Central Africa champion, and brings a 16-8-2 (7) record to the party.

His opponent, nicknamed “Braveheart”, is a two-weight Egyptian national champion, and has compiled a fine 22-2-1 (11) record since turning professional in 2009.

Both fighters are coming off losses, as Mfaume was beat by Rizvan Elikhanov in Russia in his most recent outing, and Said faced defeat against Zhankosh Turarovon a trip to Kazakhstan last December, so both will be motivated to prove they still have a future in the sport.

Promoted by Tyson Mkindi and GROBOX Sports Promotion, the fight will be aired live in Tanzania by Azam Sports 1.
