(May 16, 2023) – MMA promoter Joe Cavallaro’s latest star, Bekzod Abdurakhmonov is set to compete for the promotions fourth event this year. Despite his wrestling base, Bek, has three knockouts and three submissions on his pro resume to date. With six professional victories, five amateur wins, Bek is sure to bring an exciting show!
During his 2020 Olympic run, Bek won a bronze medal and competed in the 2016 Rio Olympics. He also tech-falled tournament favorite Jordan Burroughs, something he is still the only man to have done!
Bekzod is set to face off against the experienced Brazilian fighter Derik de Freitas (7-5) for his return – De Freitas hasn’t fought in the US before so this is a great chance for him to make an impression.
