Russia vs USA fights to be featured at the IBA Champions’ Night in Moscow

Moscow, Russia – IBA Champions’ Night comes back to Russia on 16 December 2023 with Team Russia challenging Team USA in an epic night of action at the International Center of Boxing and Sambo in Moscow. 

Eleven fights will start at 20:00 MST. In +90.7kg weight division three Russian pairs are to open the event. Nikita Duzenko is to challenge Teymuraz Surov, Alexey Kalinovich faces Nikita Rustenko, both fights will be competed over 4 rounds. The third bout being over 8 rounds, with Rasul Magomedov fighting against Aleksander Zubkov. 

Another Russian pair of boxers will determine the strongest in 79.4kg division, where Leon Antonyan goes into the ring against Maxim Smirnov. 

Muhammad Shekhov from Uzbekistan challenges Leonardo Carrillo from Colombia in 55.3kg weight category. In 76.2kg, two Russian boxers Orkhan Gadzhiev meets with Konstantin Ponomarev. Both fights consist of 10 rounds. 

Five 4-rounds contests between Team Russia and Team USA are scheduled to finish the night of action. Vsevolod Shumkov meets with Abel Mendoza in 61.2kg division. Yuri Osipov challenges Nikita Ababiy in 72.6kg, while Pavel Sosulin faces Alexis Espino in 76.2kg weight class. In 79.4kg, Beshto Shavlaev fights against Kwame Ritter, and in the main fight of the night Alexey Egorov goes into the ring against Joe Jones in +90.7kg.
