‘Summer Heat 2023’ Press Tour Continues in New Bedford featuring Wilson Mascarehnas

NEW BEDFORD, MA (July 27, 2023) – CES Boxing will host a press conference at Top Shelf Bar & Grill on Tuesday, August 1st featuring several Massachusetts natives who will see action at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on August 12th.

In attendance will be New Bedford native and welterweight prospect Wilson Mascarenhas (7-1, 2 KOs). Fresh off a shutout unanimous decision over Benjamin Lamptey in May, the Portuguese native is preparing to face undefeated Connecticut prospect Anthony Mora in a 6-round contest. Mascarenhas will box for the second time this year after almost 14 months of inactivity due to a severe injury that nearly took his life in 2022.

Several other bouts will be announced, including Chordale Booker’s first defense of his WBC USA Super Welterweight title, hall-of-famer Jaime Clampitt in a super featherweight bout and undefeated prospects Anthony Velasquez, Alejandro Paulino and Angel Gonzalez in step-up fights.

CES Boxing cordially invites members of the press, boxing fans, and the local community to join us at Top Shelf to hear more from Wilson, promoter Jimmy Burchfield Sr., New Bedford legend Ray ‘Sucra’ Oliveira and Brockton heavyweight Chad Leoncello, who will also be in action on that massive card.
