In the main event, Denver’s Manny Lopez defeated a tough Derek Perez (Albuquerque, NM) with a unanimous decision. Lopez started strong and went on the attack, pouncing Perez against the ropes. At one time, it looked as if referee Curtis Thrasher would stop the contest. Perez weathered the onslaught and scored well in the remaining rounds, however, Lopez was far too skilled and showed his fans that he is a boxer to be dealt with.
