Lausanne, Switzerland – The next highly anticipated edition of IBA Champions’ Night is scheduled to take place in Astana, where Kazakhstan’s national team is to challenge the boxers from around the world in eight exciting fights. The action is scheduled to take place on 15 December 2023 at the Beeline Arena in Kazakhstan where the impressive pairs in action will fight in 6-round bouts, with each round lasting 3 minutes.
IBA World Champion 2023 Sanzhar Tashkenbay won his title in the 48kg weight division and now competes in 51kg will open the night of action and will fight Nodirjon Mirzakhmedov from Uzbekistan as he defends his impressive record post-Tashkent.
Another World Champion for Kazakhstan, Makhmud Sabyrkhan fights against Cuban prospect Oswaldo Diaz in the 57kg category.
Belgrade-2021 silver medallist Serik Temirzhanov challenges WBT Silver Belt Series winner Pavel Fedorov representing Serbia in the 63.5kg category.
In the 67kg category, Kazakhstan’s proud Dulat Bekbauov won a silver medal at the Men’s World Boxing Championships 2023 in Tashkent, and now he faces Russian European Games runner-up Khariton Agrba, who has an impressive record of 12-0 in professional boxing.
IBA World Champion 2023 Aslanbek Shymbergenov fights in the 71kg division against Tashkent 2023 quarter-finalist Jorge Cuellar from Cuba. The boxers have never met in the ring previously.
Bekzad Nurdauletov claimed gold medal at the IBA Men’s World Championships 2019 when he beat decorated boxer Julio La Cruz in the semi-final where the referee opened count for the Cuban during the fight. He also has 6-0 record in professional boxing, and on 15 December he challenges Russian prospect Nikita Zon in 80kg division, who scored 7 victories and 1 draw in professional boxing.
In the same weight division, local prospect Yerassyl Zhakpekov faces IBA Champions’ Night winner Gradus Kraus from the Netherlands.
Kazakhstan’s unbeaten professional boxer with 11 victories on his record, Daniyar Yeleussinov meets with professional boxer Jabulani Makhense from South Africa who has 14 victories and 2 losses on his record.
