WBF Boxing X-Mas In Nigeria & Tanzania

No rest for the wicked, as World Boxing Federation (WBF) Championship fights are scheduled for Nigeria on December 24, and Tanzania on December 26.

On the 24th at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria, WBF International Welterweight Champion Rilliwan Babatunde, 14-1 (8), will defend his crown against Ghanaian Justice Addy, 16-10-1 (14).

Promoted by Flykite Boxing Promotions and televised by GoTV, this will be the first defense for 25-year-old “Babyface” Babatunde, who won the title last April at the same venue.

In Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on the 26th, two undefeated fighters will clash for the vacant WBF International Super Middleweight title on a show promoted by Peak Time Promotions at the Ubungo Plaza.

Local puncher, and reigning Tanzanian national champion, Selemani Kidunda, 7-0 (7), will face his, on paper, best opponent to date in Congolese Erick Tshimanga Katompa, 13-0 (5).

Tshimanga Katomba is fighting in Tanzania for the second time, as he is coming off a unanimous decision victory over another local favorite, former WBF Intercontinental Champion Abdallah Paziwapazi, in October.
