(June 1, 2022) – Championship boxing returns to Bosnia & Herzegovina on June 10, when undefeated local hero Enid Numanovic, 22-0 (10), fights for the vacant World Boxing Federation Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title.
In the opposite corner will be veteran Colombian Jose Miguel “”Mochuelito” Torres, who, with a record of 33-12 (27), has more than twice as many pro fights as Numanovic.
25-year-old Numanovic turned pro in 2016, and won the Bosnia & Herzegovina national Super Middleweight title the following year in his sixth outing.
He has since been building towards a major fight, and now he gets the opportunity to shine at the Sportska Dvorana in his home-town Banovici.
Torres, a former WBC and WBO regional titlist, will be looking to use his experience and superior punching-power to ruin the party, and a victory will certainly revitalize his career. A classic example of youth vs. experience, and it will be interesting to see how Numanovic will cope with arguably his best opponent to date
