June 13, 2023 – Plant City, FL – Heavy handed Franklin Gonzalez, he of twenty-five knockout victories in twenty-seven fights, battles former bantamweight champion Saul Sanchez in the main event of this weeks’ “Wednesday Night Fights.” Also featured on the card is Mexican amateur sensations Oscar Alvarez Jr and undefeated prospect Dominic Valle. The four card will be streamed live on ProBox TV Wednesday, June 14, beginning at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT.

Franklin Gonzalez, a 26-year-old from Los Teques, Venezuela is a former WBA Fedebol Flyweight champion. He fought fifteen times in his firsrt two years as a pro. His first twenty-five bouts were ALL knockout wins. He is looking to rebound from his last two fights, both split decisions losses. He goes up against Sanchez, a 26-year-old from Encino, who is a former WBO Latino and WBA Fedecentro Bantamweight champion.

Oscar Alvarez Jr. (9-0, 7 KOs) from Ciudad Obregon, MX, had a stellar amateur 665-12 record, stands 6’ 3”, and will be facing his toughest opponent to date against one-time Brazilian Lightweight Champion Jonhatan Cordoso. Alvarez’ fourteen-year amateur career culminated with back-to-back 2019 and ’20 Mexican Championship Gold Medals and a Bronze in the Pan Am Games. The 24- year-old Cordoso is a former Brazilian Lightweight Champion, has also challenged for the WBA Latino title.

Valle has fought all of his pro fights under the ProBox TV umbrella and all at White Sands Events Center, He had knocked out all of his opponents going into his last fight in November which he won by unanimous decision in dominating fashion. The twenty-seven-year-old Rosario is less than two years into his pro career and is looking to make a name for himself.
